Deep Tissue Massage

Sports  therapy is a type therapy that focuses on reaching deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.  It aims to help with dysfunction old injuries,  release chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep  pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons, and fascia. The therapy is recommended not only for sports people  but for everyone suffering of chronic pain.

Your therapist may use their forearms, elbows, fingertips, or knuckles to apply the increased pressure. This technique can be beneficial for people with chronic pain, muscle tension, or injuries.

In contrast to traditional massage therapy, which primarily aims at relaxation, sports  massage is typically directed towards addressing specific issues.

It's important to note that this therapy can be intense, and it's common to experience some soreness during or after the massage. It's crucial to communicate with your massage therapist about your comfort level.
